My family has its share of Christmas traditions. Some of them have changed a bit over the years, as my family has grown and aged. Others, however, have remained the same for as long as I can remember.
This bear ornament is one of them. It’s made of glass, painted gold and red. The paint is a bit chipped now, but that makes it all the prettier.
I’m not exactly sure when my mom got it, but for as long as I can remember, it’s been placed near the top of our family Christmas tree. It’s front and centre, where everyone can see it. I can’t imagine it being placed anywhere else.
It’s a small, simple tradition, but one that warms my heart all the same.
