Focus

A pencil and notebook on top of an open copy of Fangirl, by Rainbow Rowell

It’s a long weekend here in Canada—Thanksgiving weekend. In between all of my turkey-eating (I have two nights’ worth planned this year), I plan to re-calibrate my focus on certain tasks.

My writing is going to be a big one. I’ve slowly been getting back to where I was a couple of months ago, in terms of both my fiction and this blog. While slow isn’t necessarily a bad thing, I ‘m hopeful that I’ll at least get a good chunk done this weekend. It’ll help me feel like I’m on better footing.

There’s also a fair bit of photo work I want to get done. My Print Shop has been in desperate need of attention lately. This weekend makes for the perfect time to give it some.

And finally, there are a few for-fun things I want to focus on: Reading and baking. I’m about a quarter of the way through Rainbow Rowell’s Fangirl, and I’d love to at least come close to finishing it. And as for the baking… well, I have a ton of apples and a few bananas I need to use up. Pastries and other goodies seem like the best way to do that.

So tell me, what are you focusing on this weekend?
