Merry marigolds

A close-up of orange marigold petals.

I planted my container garden a couple of weeks ago. Mostly I planted vegetables again, but, for the second year, I also planted a couple of pots of flowers.

I have two types this time: marigolds and, if I remember correctly, something called super elfin. And I’m not going to lie, I bought that second type purely because of their name. I mean, they’re pretty enough flowers, but that name. It’s just awesome.

Anyway, I’m in love with the way the marigolds look. They’re this bright, flaming orange colour, with a darker shade on the inner part of the petal and edging the tips.

They’re really quite pretty, and I’m glad I chose them.
