Do you think it was luck or fate that made this past week’s challenge colour yellow? I’m leaning more toward luck, but the cause really isn’t all that important.
What is important is the reason why I made the cupcakes in the first place; the timing just happened to line up well enough that I was able to feature this cupcake in today’s post. I would have been making the cupcakes—bright yellow liners, bumble-bee M&Ms and all—last weekend regardless of my photo challenge colour: They were for my sister-in-law’s baby shower, which had a Winnie the Pooh theme.
The shower went well. Everyone had fun, I think, and Kaleigh, Denie, and the baby (who isn’t actually here yet) ended up with a ton of gifts. My little niece is already a little spoiled.
Not that any of us are going to stop spoiling her any time soon. I mean, a new baby deserves to be spoiled, doesn’t she?
(Oh, and for anyone who’s curious, the cupcakes were my Apple Pie Cupcakes with Cinnamon and Honey Cream Cheese Frosting.)
