A cup of flower

I love seeing my orchid plant in bloom. Like I mentioned a couple of weeks ago, though, I thought I’d lost the opportunity to see that again.

Last weekend, one little flower appeared. I caught it in its early stage, when the outer petals were still cupping the inner, colourful ones. I loved the look of that so much that I had to grab my camera.

I’m quite happy with how this picture came out, too. This might be one of my favourites from the past little while, and it’s definitely brightening up my winter.
