So, yes, I’ve decided to take Leandra‘s suggestion about a monthly Cookie feature. And, as you can probably tell, this is the first installment.
Although I hadn’t intended for it, there ended up being a common element in these pictures of Cookie: her left eye.
To be honest, I’m not really surprised that I managed that. You see, Cookie has two different coloured eyes. The right one is brown with a short bit of blue along the bottom. The left is the bright blue you can see in the pictures, with a bit of brown running across the top.
I kind of love her eyes. Before I got her, I didn’t even know rabbits could have blue eyes–never mind two different-coloured eyes. Sometimes, I can’t help focusing the camera on that left eye and hoping the colour comes out just right.
I feel like I might neglect the right the eye a little bit, though. I’m going to have to make an effort to get more pictures of it.
But regardless of how few pictures I get of that right eye, I still love it just as much as the left. Because how could I not love any part of this adorable little creature?

Both out pets are named after food. =) I have a little black dog named Licorice. I didn’t know that rabbits had different colored eyes either. I know a lot of times white cats will, so I wonder if white also affects this in rabbits?
