Monthly update: October 2017

It’s the first day of an outstanding October. Are you ready for the month ahead? I am. I have some big plans for this month, and I can’t wait to get started on them.

Plus, I mean, it’s October. It’s such a great month all on its own, regardless of your goals. There’s the beautiful autumn colours, Halloween, and, here in Canada, Thanksgiving. There’s so much to love about October.

Before getting too far into what October promises, though, I want to take a quick minute to look back on what I accomplished (or didn’t) in September.

Monthly update: September 2017

Is it already time for a sensational September? Where did that come from? And if it’s really September already, why hasn’t it cooled off enough for me to wear comfy sweaters?

Well, lack of comfy sweater-weather aside, September is still shaping up to be a pretty good month. I accomplished two out of my three goals for August, and I feel optimistic about the ones I have planned for September. Plus, September is my birthday month. That always adds an extra little bit of excitement, don’t you think?

Before we get too far into September, though, let’s take a look back at August.

Monthly update: August 2017

Who else is hoping for an all-good August? I certainly am. Not that I’ve had a particularly bad July or anything. I’m just hoping to keep the positive times rolling.

I don’t have an overly busy August planned so far. Certainly not as busy as July, at any rate. My hope is that this meager schedule will let me get more done, because I didn’t exactly manage to accomplish a whole lot in July.

For once, though, I kind of don’t mind that I didn’t meet my monthly goals. Let me tell you why.

Monthly update: July 2017

We’re headed for a jolly July, everyone! Well, I hope we are, at least. I think everyone could use a little extra jolliness.

(On another note, can you tell my alliteration skills are running a bit thin? I’m determined to pull them through to the end of 2017, though. Here’s hoping I come up with something better for the last few months.)

To be honest, I can’t believe we’re halfway through 2017. The time has gone surprisingly quickly, and at the same time surprisingly slowly. It’s an odd sensation, to be honest.

What’s not so odd? I didn’t quite accomplish all of my goals for June. I did come close, though.

Monthly update: June 2017

Ready for a joyous June? That sounds Christmas-y, doesn’t it? Oh well. June seems like a joyous sort of month, too.

Summer officially starts, the weather has improved drastically (here, at least), and I’m less than a month away from a family vacation. I’d say those are enough reasons to be joyful, wouldn’t you?

Adding more good-feels to all of that is how much I accomplished in May. While I’m still not quite where I’d like to be, productivity-wise, I’m much closer.

Monthly update: May 2017

Who else is ready for a mirthful May?

Right, now you’re probably thinking, “Mirthful? Really?” Yep. That’s what happens when my alliteration skills aren’t on point.

Anyway, let’s get down to this month’s update. I’m going to be up-front here: my April wasn’t as productive as I’d hoped it would be. Before I explain why, though, let’s take a look back at what my goals were.

Monthly update: April 2017

Who’s ready for an awesome April? The weather is warming up, the snow’s almost gone (or completely gone, if you live somewhere nicer than here), and summer is so close I can taste it.

There are a few goals I’d like to accomplish before summer comes, though, and April looks like it’ll be a good month to work on them. I may not get quite as much done as I did in March–I don’t have a week off this month like I did last–but I’m sure there will be a few accomplishments I can share with you by the time May rolls around.

Before we get too far into looking ahead, though, let’s take a few minutes to look back.
