Taking flight

Wildlife is a lot of fun to photograph, but it can be tough to find it when you spend a lot of time in the city. Luckily, we have some wonderful parks in mine. They’re fairly open, with quite a bit of water. You won’t find a ton of wildlife in them, but you will usually come across some birds and rabbits.

On Friday, my boyfriend and I took a walk around one of these parks specifically so I could get some photos. I focused mainly on the birds, though I did get a few landscape shots, as well. I still have to go through those ones, but I’m hoping to share them with you soon.

We saw quite the variety. His favourite is the red-winged blackbird, largely for its song. I’m not sure I have a favourite; I just like seeing what we came across.

That said, I did really like that we found a couple of ducks. I’m not sure why, but I’ve always liked photographing them.
