Intentional colours

Flowers are such pretty photo subjects, don’t you think? They’re one of my favourite things to shoot.

These ones were a Valentine’s gift from my boyfriend, and, I have to say, he has wonderful taste. The types of flowers, and their colours, were exactly what I would have chosen myself.

So I couldn’t resist photographing them for last week’s 52Frames challenge.

Last week focused on using an intentional colour palette, whether it was one you found or created. Mine is sort of a mix, I guess. I found it in the flowers, but created it in the way I arranged them. Regardless, you’re supposed to use the colour palette with thought, and arrange your image accordingly.

I think I did alright with that, though I’m not entirely sure. I do like how these two photos came out, though, so I hope you enjoy them, too.
