I am super late in posting this photo. It was my photo challenge entry a couple of weeks ago, and I meant to post it the weekend after I submitted it. But, well, life sort of got in the way.
I don’t want to get into why life got in the way here, but I would like to tell you a bit about the challenge. The theme for the week was “Details,” though that didn’t necessarily mean we had to go with a macro photo. That style just tends to be my go-to.
For this one, though, I did try to incorporate a little bit more of a story than I normally do. I wanted to show the gamut of a cup of loose-leaf tea, from scooping it out of the jar to sipping it out of a mug. While that isn’t entirely possible in a single macro photo, I thought I could at least include elements of each step.
I’ll let you decide whether or not that story came across. But at the very least, I hope you can see that the detail I was trying to bring out was the tea itself. As the most important piece of the story, it only seemed appropriate to highlight it.
