Soft and small

A close-up of some purple super elfin flowers.

There’s two things I really like about the purple flowers I planted this year: their name (I mean, Super Elfins? How can you not appreciate that?), and how soft and small they are.

These ones aren’t much more than two or three inches big, and have some of the softest petals I’ve ever felt. And they’re super delicate; they come off their stems almost as soon as I touch them. I’ve had to be rather careful around them.

Oh, and I suppose there’s one more thing I’m really enjoying. These particular flowers are growing like crazy. They’ve filled in their planter well, and are nearly spilling out of it.

All in all, they turned out to be a good choice.
