Brighten my day

Do you know what I really love about my orchid plant? How bright the flowers on it are. Particularly when the sun lights them up in the evening.

While there are a lot of things, and people, that I can count on to brighten my day when I need it, these flowers are something I can turn to when I’m on my own at home. Plus, I always feel some pride when I see how much the plant has grown; it’s gotten big enough that I had to move it to a new pot a few weeks ago.

I really do love that plant, and I’m still grateful to the person who gave it to me.
