We’ve been having some really nice weather here for the past week or so. I mean, we’re still getting frost most mornings, but the daytime temperatures have been pretty good.
That coincided well with my colour-of-the-week from last week. I ended up with brown, and, well, there’s a whole lot of brown outside right now. So I figured I’d go for a walk to see what I could find.
I was lucky on my walk; I cam across these two pretty little ducks, swimming in a creek along my usual walking trail. I’m not great with photographing wildlife, but I gave it a try.
The pictures didn’t come out too bad. I particularly like the colours on the male, and I’m rather proud of being able to get the two of them in focus manually, rather than on auto.
I’m hoping that I’ll see the two of them again on another walk. Or, if I’m really lucky, maybe they’ll have some ducklings along with them in the future.
