It’s September! I’m actually pretty excited about that, too. September means a new month and a new season. It means autumn, and sweaters, and cozy evenings in, and my birthday.
Though, admittedly, this year it’s a birthday I have mixed feelings about. But that’s irrelevant right now.
What is relevant is what I did or didn’t accomplish in August, and what I’m hoping to accomplish in September. Are you ready to hear about it?
August’s goals
- Fix antagonist’s arc in CD
- Brainstorm edits for BC
- Make a list of possible craft sale opportunities
- Start Judy Blume’s writing class on MasterClass
I’m happy to say that I accomplished about 2.5 out of 4 of those goals. Which may not seem like a lot, but is better than I’ve done the last few months. Progress!
So, which goals did I accomplish? Well, I’ve started my list of craft sale opportunities, and I’ll continue to update that as I find new ones or as they become available. I also started Judy Blume’s writing class, though I only got about a quarter of the way through it. And, that “.5” accomplishment? I started brainstorming edits for BC. I just didn’t get very far with them. Still, it’s better than not starting them at all, right?
Writing update
As for my writing, I did get quite a bit done this month, though not quite as much as I was hoping to. I’m still on the right track with it, though, so I do have some decently high hopes for September. And some big plans. But more on those in a moment.
Print Shop update
I added a couple of more items to my Print Shop this month: my recent Rose photo and Pink Carnation photo. Other than that, I’ve just put in a bit more effort to promote the shop. Hopefully both will lead to some positive outcomes.
Speaking of which, let’s take a look forward now.
September’s goals
- Fix antagonist’s arc in CD
- Finish brainstorming edits for BC
- Finish Judy Blume’s writing class on MasterClass
- Edit 1 short story
I have four goals again, and, yes, they’re fairly similar to August’s goals. Mostly they’re a matter of finishing things off, with one key difference: there’s a short story contest I want to enter, which means I need a short story to enter it with. I have one I’ve started, so I should be able to get it ready to go before the contest’s deadline.
So, there you have it: my big accomplishments from August, and the things I’m hoping to finish in September. Have you set out your goals for the month yet?
