Playing with light

I’ve been trying to practice my photography a little more, and one of the ways to do that is by playing with light. I figured this set of crystal dolphins would make a great subject in that regard. I mean, what better way to play with light than to let it shine through a couple of playful marine animals?

While the pictures didn’t come out quite how I was hoping, I’m still fairly happy with them. I like the way that the light both reflects off of the figures and pours through them, and the way it curves along with the dolphins’ backs.

I even managed to get a little bit of detail to come out in a couple of places, though I could have done a better job of that. Like I said, though: Overall, I’m fairly happy with how this little practice session turned out.
