Orchid is blooming

I was worried about my little orchid plant for a little while. All of its little flowers had fallen off, and no new ones had appeared.

Recently, though, little buds formed. Then, in the last couple of weeks, the flowers started blooming.

Now there are about five little flowers on my plant again, all of them a beautiful blend of white, yellow, and purple.

Can you blame me for spending some time last week taking some pictures of them? Or for loving how those pictures turned out?

This, I think, might be my favourite of the batch. There’s something in the way the colours fade into each other and in the curve of that bottom petal. It might just be one of my favourite pictures from my blog as a whole, actually.
