Feathered

Remember last week, when I talked about searching my home for something to photograph? Today, I wanted to share another picture from that little adventure. This one, though, isn’t Halloween related.

Actually, now that I think about it, I did buy these earrings for a Halloween costume. But that’s not why I’m posting this picture.

See, it’s the lines I love in this one. The way the main stems in the feathers act as sharp directions to the top of the photo, but the softer bits let you drift off course. It isn’t anything big or fancy or complicated. Just sort of… nice, and maybe a little calming. Exactly the sort of thing I needed after the busy days that made up the last full week of October.
