Wednesday links: Anthologies

I love regularly reading tips and advice articles in certain subjects — particularly writing and publishing. I don’t always need the information right then, but I know that it’ll eventually come in handy. Or at least, I hope it will.

I know there are a lot of other people out there who feel the same way I do, but sometimes it can be difficult to find every useful advice article that’s out there. So I thought I’d bring you a few. Here are the tips and advice articles that jumped out at me the most over the past week.

  1. Thinking Inside the Box (Set), from Query Tracker Blog: There are a lot of options you could consider if you’re working on building your platform. Taking part in an anthology is one you may not have thought of, however. Excerpt: “A box set. Oh, those little awesome 3D covers with their long stack of titles behind them, priced dazzingly low to entice readers in, and once you’ve got the readers, you have a chance to figure out how to keep them.”

  1. My only publication credit to date is in an anthology. I’m really glad I subbed to it– and I’m waiting to hear back on a submission to another anthology, and will be subbing to another one in a few days. Fingers crossed! =)
