Sunday update

Hello again! This week was pretty productive one for me, which I’m feeling quite good about.

Let’s take a look at what I was aiming for:

  1. Revise three chapters of V&L
  2. Rewrite that C&C scene
  3. Edit the Recipe review photos
  4. Start at least one character sketch for NaNoWriMo
  5. Start the second piece of my Halloween costume

We can go ahead and check three things off of that list. I revised my three chapters of V&L, and got my Recipe review photos edited and uploaded. And, with a slight adjustment, I’m considering number four to be finished, too.

See, I didn’t exactly do a character sketch for NaNoWriMo. But I did flesh out my plans more. I have a summary of my plot now, and a much better understanding of my main characters and their relationship to each other. So even though I didn’t get the character sketch done, I did get quite a bit of planning done. And I’m counting that as a win.

But the C&C scene still didn’t get finished, and neither did that second piece of my Halloween costume. So those will both be going back on my list for this week.

Speaking of which…

  1. Revise three chapters of V&L.
  2. Rewrite the C&C scene.
  3. Finish off that Recipe review post.
  4. Continue NaNoWriMo planning.
  5. Finish the second piece of my Halloween costume.

As you can see, this week’s list is basically the same as last week’s. But there’s something rather significant about that first goal.

I only have three chapters left in this revision of V&L. That’s right, three chapters. I’m hoping that, if I can get those three finished off this week, I can focus on doing some minor edits next week while also working on the query for the novel. And then maybe, just maybe, I’ll be ready to start querying some agents.

It’s a bit of a scary thought, but also one that I’m very excited about.

Now, how about you? Do you have any big goals on your to-do list this week?
