Motivational Magnets

I bought these magnets back before Christmas. I’m not entirely sure why. Looking at magnets doesn’t motivate me to “make my dreams happen,” nor am I expecting them to do the same for anyone who spots them on my fridge. Something made me buy them, though, and so on my fridge they sit.

What do motivate me are the feelings that come along with doing the things that I love. The contentment, the satisfaction, the pride, and the multitude of others feelings I can’t possibly list here. Those, and the idea that maybe, someday, someone will connect with my books the way I’ve connected with so many others.

What motivates you?


Pinterest and the modern-day writer

I’m sure that, by now, you’ve at least heard of Pinterest. You may even have some experience with it. After all,¬†you wouldn’t be the first person to log into the site, start browsing through recipes, crafts, or jokes, and emerge an hour later with no concept of what time it is.

Or maybe that’s just me.

Regardless, I highly recommend you check Pinterest out. Not for the recipes, crafts, and jokes (although they all have their benefits), but because of how they can help you as a writer.
